Mason AAA D30 Waterproof Armoured Jeans by Merlin
Product information
As one of the only waterproof riding jeans on the market at this price, Mason 2 is now lighter and stronger (CE AAA). This is achieved by using a Coolmax sweat wicking Cordura outer denim, with a lighter waterproofing lining that still hits 10k/10k performance. This is a truly innovative riding jean that allows riders to make more of the season, without compromising on style. D3O’s lightweight Ghost armour can also now be found as standard in the hip and knee. There are further improvements to the refinement in craftsmanship and trims.

These jeans are heavyweight, definitely wind proof, not tested in the rain yet.
They are an exact fit, no flappy legs when riding, with lightweight ghost armour that doesn’t look obvious off the bike.
The waist zip was a perfect match to my riding jacket, and several of the pockets have waterproof zips.
A well thought out pair of jeans, good cut, comfortable and warm.
Excellent!
Arrived quickly as always with fat skeleton. They feel like quality straight out of the bag. Nice colouring with nice branding which isn’t over the top. Zips up rear pockets and watch pocket and all of the zips are waterproofed which is a nice touch. I ordered a 36 and it is true to size but is a pretty exact fit so it might be worth sizing up if you’re borderline. Obviously with the layers they’re quite a bit thicker than regular jeans but with the ghost armour they don’t look out of place at all off the bike. Wearing them through a heatwave wasn’t any worse than my usual bike jeans. I’ve only managed to catch one light shower so far but they did manage to keep everything out . The zip on the back fitted fine with the zip on my favourite Oxford bike jacket so none of the usual compatibility problems there. Overall I’m very pleased with them.
